The Rabbit Hole café
Self-proposed type-oriented group project. We created a brand identity with formal applications in the form of animation, website, menu, and take out boxes for an Alice in Wonderland themed café inspired by the original books and movies with psychedelic imagery and elements.

The menu features delicious foods that were inspired by scenes and food items present in the original movies and stories.
The scene where the Walrus and the Carpenter encounter oysters and eat them all inspired the name "Oyster and The Walrus Quiche"

Process

Inspiration included memorable key food items such as the "eat me" or "drink me" cupcakes and juice that made the consumer larger or smaller in the movie and books. There were also moody lighting and swirls to represent the psychedelic visuals.
The sketches were the initial step towards making the logo. We each sketched out multiple iterations of how the logo might look like with swirls and the rabbit being the main components.
Brand identity - colors and fonts

We explored a variety of colors that were vibrant and reflected the psychedelic colors which are normally bright and neon reds, greens, oranges, or purples.
The logo itself is a combination from the sketches of the swirling background, teacup, and the silhouette of the rabbit in the letter "O".

We had a finalized color scheme of violet, a dark purple, teal, and a magenta pink color.
To stay consistent with the logo font, we used a serif font called "Panel" with different variations to create a hierarchy in the formal applications.
